quadriplegic independence and resources

I would like to try to raise money for my brother who broke his neck back in 1991 and is a quadriplegic. I have not found a lot of programs available for those that suffer from spinal cord injuries.
My brothers finances are limited, and therefore, he is not able to do the things he would like to and medical supplies are expensive and there are a lot of things that are needed but medicare/medicaid don't cover the cost. The things I'd like to see him have are, a 4X4 power wheelchair, a handicap accessible van, some computer equipment, a stand up wheelchair, the miracle bowel, just to name a few things, lol.
I am listing websites that are very informational and will help others that have spinal cord injuries. If anyone has more links or information that can help us, please send them our way, mgxlpits@sbcglobal.net
I am not sure how to get this started or how to accept donations for Mike's aid, if anyone can lend a hand in that department, I'd greatly appreciate it.
My family and I are Christians and we are trusting God to help us to help Mikey. He has a wonderful spirit and deserves the best. He never complains and his health could be so much better if we could get him some of these things, especially the miracle bowel and the standing wheelchair. My brother used to hunt and fish also, we'd love to be able to get him some of the items that would allow him to do that again.
Thanks for reading this and God bless you. If you have any experience in charity work, please pass along some tips, I'd like to be able to help others out there too. It's really sad that there are not more programs out there and people have to fight just to get there medical supplies paid for.
